Monday 4th July – e-bike **** – Around Felixstowe including lunch at the two Trimley Churches – sunny periods.

The day started well with three photos in the local paper the EADT’s, Mag headed out early this morning on her bike, she is loving the power assist especially with the weather good again:) Usual morning at home, me doing my exercises while taking the odd pics of the garden while Mag potters. I wanted to repair my windsurfing trailer as a bolt has fallen from the jockey wheel but time slipped by and I didn’t have time as we wanted to head out on our bikes again for a picnic lunch somewhere? Leaving the house at gone one we bumped into the neighbours for a quick chat and as it was getting on, we decided not to go too far, as I needed something from Seamark Nunn we decided to go the to two churches in Trimley. So, it was through Abbey Grove leading to the Grove woods and out into rolling Suffolk countryside with the wheat coming along well now with the usual top sky’s:) Along Candlet Lane to the churches, the graveyard is looking a little dull now with no flowers with the snowdrops and daffodils a distant memory:( After a yummy lunch we buy the local paper, stop at Seamarks before taking a footpath to Grimston Lane carrying into the tree lined path back to Felixstowe, stopping to feed the fish at the little pond on the way! With Mags battery running low she takes the flat, direct rroute home while I continue through Felixstowe docks to the view point just in time to see a massive OOCL container ship come up the Orwell. With the help of three tugs it turns around and slowly inches its way to the first berth! Then though Landguard reserve, along the prom, up Bent Hill and home, another top day enjoying the continuing good weather:)
